Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook's founder and CEO, is expected to discuss the name change during the company's annual Connect conference on October 28. However, according to reports, it might happen sooner.

There have recently been rumours that Facebook is intending to create a metaverse, or shared virtual world, that individuals may enter over the internet. The renaming would most likely put Facebook's social networking app, as well as Instagram, Whatsapp, and Oculus, under the parent corporation.
