Google Appoints Rob Leathern As VP Product, Privacy & Data Protection

His previous stint was with Facebook where he represented the company’s controversial political advertising policies

Rob Leathern, the former director of product management at Facebook, took to Twitter to announce his next professional move. He will now join Google as its Vice President - privacy product management at Google.


Through a series of tweets, he shared, “I’m happy to announce that I’m joining Google's Privacy and Data Protection Office to lead product development. I’m looking forward to working with Google’s team of privacy and security engineers who are focused on building advanced protections into the products you use every day.”

Leathern led the business integrity product management team at Facebook from 2017 until the end of 2020.
