Procter & Gamble elevates Bala Purushothaman to Global CHRO

Procter & Gamble has appointed Bala Purushothaman as the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO).

Purushothaman becomes the fourth Indian after Shailesh Jejurikar (COO), Sundar Raman (CEO, Fabric & Home Care), and Kirti Singh (Chief Analytics & Insights Officer) to join the global leadership of the Company in recent years.

Bala Purushothaman, Global Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO), P&G, says, "I feel honored and humbled that P&G entrusted me for this critical role. Loveleen Sahrawat abandons Aditya Birla Capital

The Head of Brand & Digital Business of Aditya Birla Capital, Loveleen Sahrawat has moved on. She announced the move via a social media post in which she spoke of being 'excited and ready to give birth to a new brand'. 

Her association with Aditya Birla Capital has been for over 9 years.

Prior to that, she was with McCann Worldgroup and Leo Burnett.


Aditya Birla Capital promotes Darshana Shah as Head - Marketing and CX

Aditya Birla Capital has promoted Darshana Shah to the new role of Head, Marketing (CMO) and Customer Experience. 

She was earlier the executive vice president - digital, marketing and customer experience at the company.

Shah writes in a LinkedIn post, “Never did I ever imagine of leading a brand, marketing and CX of this large NBFC who have welcomed me as an outsider to be a part of its health insurance business 6.5 years back and now gave me the opportunity of leading from the top.”

Before joining Aditya Birla Capital, Shah was Senior Vice-President, Marketing and Visual Merchandising at Hyper City Retail. Earlier, she was General Manager-Marketing Communications at Reliance Retail.

In the past, she has also worked at Future Group, Shoppers Stop, NIIT and Boston Software & Technologies.
Shah will take succeed Ajay Kakar as the CMO. Kakar retired from the company last month.
