SBI CMO Sweta Aggarwall Quits

SBI Chief Marketing Officer Sweta Aggarwall has moved on from the organisation after a 15-month stint. Sweta had joined SBI in January 2020 from the National Payments Corporation Of India (NPCI) where she was the Senior Manager - Marketing.

As CMO, Sweta's key role was to strengthen the bank’s unique and compelling voice and build high brand equity, relevance, reputation, and perception. During her stint, she led the marketing transformation for the bank by driving an enhanced digital customer journey. She also strengthened SBI's omnichannel customer engagement strategy including hyper-local marketing.

In her career spanning 18 years, Sweta has worked with organisations like Saint Gobain India, Jet Airways, Aromas Cafe Lounge, Go Air, Ebix Cash, Collinson, and Select Direct Marketing Communications in various marketing and communications role.


Siddharth Jain Named COO At Merilytics

Siddharth Jain is elevated to the Chief Operating Officer at Merilytics. As one of the senior members of the leadership board, Siddharth spearheads all the internal operations, directly handling Recruitment, Learning, and Development. Additionally, he upholds the task of ensuring project delivery to clients and possesses a knack for dealing with sub-set of projects and a top-down oversight of the employees. 

An alumnus of one of India’s renowned tech institutions, IIT Madras, Siddharth graduated with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from the prestigious school. He continued his academic sojourn with an MBA from one of the United States' best universities, Yale School of Management. Further to this, Siddharth is among the 12 Silver Scholars of the Yale Silver Scholars program that includes people from far corners of the world. It is an honor shared only by two Indians from his batch, of which he is one. Upon graduating, Siddharth wasted no time in pursuing his career goals. He started by working with Dell/EMC in their Business Operations unit before heading to work with Merilytics, where he acquired immense and in-depth knowledge about data analytics.

Siddharth’s drive and ability to learn on the go propelled him towards leadership positions, as he moved from Manager to Sr. VP at Merilytics within three years. His abilities shone all the way through, as he could strengthen and grow most client relationships by personally ensuring consistent and continuous delivery of thought partnerships. His goal for the company is to scale new peaks and grow swiftly and organically. Siddharth now has his eyes set on championing Merilytics' operations and fuel its growth by setting up the necessary processes with the right people. His vision is to lead Merilytics into the big-league as one of the top-tier Data Analytics firms globally. He also wishes to continue being a recruiter and hire some of the best talents in the space.


Star's Amit Kumar Sinha Joins SonyLIV As Head - Pricing & Revenue Strategy

Amit Kumar Sinha has quit Star India after an almost 10-year stint to join SonyLIV as Head - Pricing & Revenue Strategy. At Star, Sinha was AVP, Product & Revenue Strategy.

As AVP, Product & Revenue Strategy, Sinha had worked on Product & Revenue Strategy of Hindi GEC, Hindi Movies, and Sports genres. His responsibility also included planning and delivering the revenue target of the Cricket portfolio of Star Sports. He also led product pricing of various Series/Events and Customer Strategy including digital.

In his 15 years long career, Sinha has also worked with Bloomberg UTV, ZEEL, and ETV Network. During the last fifteen years, he has been involved in strategising and planning for various business functions besides marketing & promotion of programmes/events, distribution strategies, and handling research among others.


Deepak Prakash Roped In As South Lead For Saatchi & Saatchi Propagate

Saatchi & Saatchi Propagate has roped in Deepak Prakash as the South Lead for Saatchi & Saatchi Propagate. Deepak has joined the agency as Associate Vice President and will be reporting to Sabah Iqbal, Sr. VP & Head – Saatchi & Saatchi Propagate. 

Deepak’s mandate would be to drive new business growth and creative output while also strategically supporting existing clients to achieve business goals and manage relationships for brands including AbInbev, Practo, Scripbox, BhartiAxa, Wipro, Stovekraft, etc.
