Meta Appoints Saugato Bhowmik As the Director of CPG, Auto & D2C Industry Vertical in India

Meta has appointed Saugato Bhowmik as the Director of CPG, Auto & D2C industry vertical in India to lead the strategy and solutions that is focused on the company’s largest consumer goods and auto advertisers. Saugato’s appointment comes on the back of a series of senior leadership recruitments over the past few months across business, policy, and partnerships, demonstrating the company’s expanding charter and commitment to India.

As a part of his role, Saugato will spearhead the company’s strategic relationship with the country’s leading consumer goods companies and auto businesses, as well as the exciting charter of direct-to-consumer businesses. He will report to Arun Srinivas, Director and Head of Global Business Group at Meta in India.

Saugato comes with more than 20 years of experience in senior sales, marketing, and business strategy roles at leading CPG companies such as Dabur and Unilever. He has also held key leadership positions at Viacom18 Media, where he also launched Voot Kids OTT. His last assignment was with Red Bull, where he was the Chief Marketing Officer for India.

Sony Pictures Entertainment India MD Vivek Krishnani quits  

Vivek Krishnani, Managing Director of Sony Pictures Entertainment India, has stepped down, according to sources. Krishnani joined the organisation in 2015 and was associated with the network for over six years.

Previously, Krishnani served as Sony Pictures Network India's Head of Motion Picture Revenue and Marketing (earlier known as Multi Screen Media Pvt. Ltd). Krishnani also spent six years as the Head of Distribution, Marketing, and Syndication at Fox Star Studios. He has worked on films like Avatar, Slumdog Millionaire, the Ice Age franchise, Life of Pi, and the X-Men franchise, as well as Indian films such as My Name is Khan, Bol Bachchan, Raaz 3, Force, Jolly LLB, and Jannat 2.

From 2006 to 2008, he served as Executive Director Marketing - Asia Pacific at Turner Entertainment Networks in Hong Kong, where he was in charge of marketing and interactive strategy for Turner Entertainment's entertainment channels (Cartoon Network, POGO, Boomerang and TCM). He came to Turner from Star TV Network, where he was senior manager of marketing for more than four years.

He was also associated with networks such as Radio City and Lowe Lintas.

Yahoo names Alicin Reidy-Williamson as Chief Diversity & Culture Officer

Yahoo has appointed Alicin Reidy-Williamson as Chief Diversity & Culture Officer, where she will lead Yahoo’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts globally, in addition to building upon Yahoo’s passionate and positive team culture.

In her role, Reidy-Williamson will report directly to CEO Jim Lanzone, and work closely with leaders at Yahoo to continue to grow a diverse workforce and strengthen policies, practices and businesses that nurture a culture of inclusion. She will also lead a team of DEI and employee experience practitioners, oversee employee engagement and strategic partnerships, and continue to champion accountability across teams, functions and geographies.

For over 25 years, Reidy-Williamson has led Culture, Purpose and DEI for top companies. She previously served as Chief Inclusion Officer at Endeavor, leading inclusion strategies globally across multiple businesses. Prior to Endeavor, she was Managing Principal for The Raben Group, a national public policy and communications strategy firm, where she developed the DEI practice. Reidy-Williamson also spent 13 years at Viacom and MTV Networks, launching the company’s efforts in corporate responsibility, diversity and inclusion, and public affairs, while managing their growth. She will be based in New York.

Chandru K Sambasivan joins Actyv.ai as Head of Marketing

Actyv.ai, an AI-powered Enterprise SaaS platform focusing on B2B BNPL, today announced the appointment of Chandru K Sambasivan as the Head of Marketing, Business Development and Strategic Initiatives. Sambasivan will be part of the Executive Management team at Actyv.ai.
