Hires & Promotions: Zee5, DS Group, Apparel Group, Swirl

A quick look at new hirings, promotions and people movements in the industry

Numerous companies have announced new hires and promotions in their leadership teams, including CMOs and Business Heads, to boost growth and expansion. All new appointments and promotions are shown below.


According to Lloyd Xavier's LinkedIn profile, Zee5 has onboared Xavier as Marketing Director for South India.

The appointment aligns with ZEE5's business goal of expanding its presence in regional markets.

Lloyd has a decade of marketing expertise, including digital and social media. He was formerly associated with Telugu streaming sites aha, Network18, YuppTV, and Deloitte.

He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the MIT School of Business in Pune.

DS Group

Rajeev Jain has been elevated to Sr. Vice President – Corporate Marketing at DS Group. The marketing specialist has over 33 years of experience working for major FMCG brands.

Jain posted the elevation on LinkedIn. 

Jain has previously worked as DGM (Marketing) for Intex Technologies India Ltd and as AGM (Advertising & Market Research) for Surya Roshni Limited.

Apparel Group

Apparel Group India appointed Sneha Mahant Mehta as Head of Marketing. Mehta will be in charge of brands such as Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works, Charles & Keith, and Aldo.

Mehta formerly worked as Advertising Director at Vogue for three years.

She was also formerly associated with GQ India in two different capacities.


Anand Nanivadekar joined Swirl as Senior Vice President to drive global business growth. Significant recruitment is being made to scale revenue for Series A financing and fuel large-scale growth.

Nanivadekar spent a decade with Directi and Affinity.com developing foreign markets. Anand led content commerce projects at BookMyShow, AR Rahman-backed Qyuki, and InMobi Group's Glance Collective in recent years.

Via its video sales suite, brands such as Vivo, Lifestyle, Traya, Mulmul are increasing conversions, building a community, an effective d2c channel, and importantly reducing the cost of customer acquisition.
