PepsiCo India's Jagrut Kotecha To Assume Role As CEO

PepsiCo India undergoes a strategic leadership transition as Ahmed El Sheikh, the current CEO moves to the Middle East Business Unit, and Jagrut Kotecha takes on the role of CEO

PepsiCo India unveiled a leadership transition within its executive team. 

Ahmed El Sheikh, the current CEO of PepsiCo India will step down from his role after nearly seven years of leadership. Effective March 2024, he will take on new responsibilities within PepsiCo as the CEO of the Middle East Business Unit.

Ahmed ElSheikh, CEO, PepsiCo India said, "Leading the team in India has been a journey filled with unique insights and vibrant experiences. The diversity and cultural richness of India have not only added to the business's success but also enriched my personal growth. The resilience and creativity of the Indian team are unparalleled, and I have no doubt that they will continue to excel under Jagrut’s leadership. I leave with a heart full of gratitude and a treasure trove of memories that will continue to inspire me in my future endeavours.” 

Jagrut Kotecha, currently serving as the Chief Commercial Officer for PepsiCo in Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia (AMESA), is set to become the new CEO of PepsiCo India.

The strategic leadership transition aligns with PepsiCo's global approach and has been carefully communicated to the India office employees as part of broader leadership changes across AMESA.
