Hindustan Unilever (HUL) Board on Friday approved the appointment of Rohit Jawa as the next Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective June 27 for a term of five years. 

Jawa, currently the Chief of Transformation at HUL, will take over from Sanjiv Mehta, who has been the MD & CEO since 2013. 

The appointment of Jawa as a whole-time director and MD & CEO is subject to the approval of shareholders and other applicable statutory approvals. 

The FMCG major has made this announcement to the stock exchanges.

Ranjay Gulati was appointed as Independent Director of the Company for a term of five years starting from 1st April 2023. However, this appointment is subject to the approval of shareholders.
