Twitter Has About 2,300 Employees: Elon Musk

A number of changes were made to Twitter's organisation and products shortly after Musk took over the company in October

Elon Musk stated in a tweet on Saturday that there are roughly 2,300 active employees at Twitter Inc.

According to a reputable news source, Twitter's full-time workforce has shrunk to around 1,300 active workers as of Friday, with less than 550 full-time engineers by title.

According to the report, which used internal records, roughly 75 of the company's 1,300 employees are on leave, including about 40 engineers.

Musk tweeted in a response to a tweet quoting the news report and said, “The note is incorrect. There are about 2300 active, working employees at Twitter," billionaire.”

He further said, "There are still hundreds of employees working on trust & safety, along with several thousand contractors.”

A number of changes were made to Twitter's organisation and products shortly after Musk took over the company in October.

The company laid off nearly 50 per cent of its staff, along with launching a premium service called Twitter-verified Blue check-mark.
