Universal Music India & South Asia has promoted Devraj Sanyal to Chairman and CEO. 

Sanyal was previously the MD and CEO of Universal Music India and South Asia, based in Mumbai. He has also taken on as SVP strategy of The AMEA (Asia Pacific, Middle ERast and Africa) in addition to his other responsibilities.

Since 2011, he has been associated with Universal Music India. Before that, he served as Group CEO of Percept Sports & Entertainment, a company that has divisions for music, events, television, intellectual assets, branded content & entertainment and talent management. Along with Percept, Sanyal co-founded the well-known Asian electronic music festival Sunburn.
