WPP Constructs New Campus In Atlanta

The campus is being built to provide employees with top-notch workspace, it will host 10 agencies and 400 WPP employees

WPP is constructing a new campus in Atlanta's Old Fourth Ward neighbourhood to give its employees access to a top-notch workspace.

The Campus will host ten agencies, including AKQA, BCW, EssenceMediacom, GCI Health, GroupM, GTB, Mindshare, Verticurl, VMLY&R, and Wunderman Thompson and will house over 400 WPP employees.

The Campus will be close to the corporate offices of The Coca-Cola Company and other WPP clients, and it will have a mix of public and private spaces. Additionally, it will act as a centre for Atlanta's tech sector and offer specific client spaces for collaboration and the expansion of OpenX, a customs agency founded by WPP in 2021 after being named The Coca-Cola Company's Global Marketing Network Partner.

Located next to the Historic Fourth Ward Park and Ponce City Market, Tower 2 of New City's Fourth Ward headquarters in Atlanta will be leased by WPP. A 39,000-square-foot conference centre, a variety of eateries, and convenient access to the BeltLine are all included in the office space's amenities.

Michael Houston, President of WPP in the US, says, “We are thrilled to provide a new Campus for our agencies in the Atlanta community, especially in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood which is experiencing unprecedented growth and transformation. Between the interface with the BeltLine and the surrounding amenities, the Atlanta Campus fosters the creative environment that will inspire our people, clients and partners alike.”

Jim Irwin, President of New City, shares, “We are thrilled and humbled that WPP has selected the Fourth Ward Project for their Atlanta Headquarters. When we first began work on the master plan, we envisioned it as a place for best-in-class companies, like WPP, to cater to the evolving needs of their workforce and clients.”

The Atlanta Campus will strive for a "Gold" LEED rating, and the interior office space will be designed with assistance from WPP's BDG architecture + design. With the relocation anticipated to be finished in the second quarter of 2023, this will be WPP's sixth campus in North America and the first to open in the United States this year.
